Do you or your travel companion have gluten intolerance and are wondering where to eat in Japan? Here’s our growing list of gluten-free restaurants in Japan.
With the rise of international travelers, there has been increased awareness of food restrictions and allergies in Japan in recent years. To assist gluten-free (GF) travelers in enjoying the amazing food the country has to offer, we’ve compiled this gluten-free restaurant guide for anyone in need.
Here, we’re kicking off with a list of restaurants in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, which have been reviewed and frequented by GF travelers. We hope that you, as part of the JOC community, can also contribute to making this a comprehensive list and resource.
If you’re a GF traveler and have discovered an excellent restaurant or food establishment while traveling in Japan, please share the city and restaurant name with us in the comments below, and we’ll gladly add them to the list.
Please note that the information is subject to change according to the establishments, and this is not an exhaustive list of all the GF places in these cities.
